So the little tyke finally arrived, albeit two weeks early, but he is here!

Born 5/15 at 3:30, Sean Matthew weighed in at 6lbs 13 ozs and 20.5 inches long.  Mom labored for 46 hours and pushed for 2.5 before Sean made his appearance.

He is home now and we are slowly learning how to arrange our sleep schedule!

And we're down to 7 weeks until the baby is here.  Maybe.  Perhaps.  Could be sooner if the doc decides to induce.  We shall see when she goes to see the doc in two weeks.

School is progressing, I finally learned how to study for my economics class.  Forget actually studying notes, reading the chapters and what not, noooo, just memorize the old test he has on his web page, and you'll go from a 58 (yes, a 58) on the prior test, to a 96 on the most recent.  Good thing I have two more tests to take so I can boost my average up a bit.  Gah.

Same thing with my philosophy course.  The first paper we had (his version of a test), I actually took my time writing it, even semi diagramed it out.  Got a 65 on it, a 65!!! WTF!!  The test we had last week, in class, 1 hour to do a 3-4 page paper on one of three topics.  I chose Hume and what his definition of a miracle was.  Anyway, what I wrote really was mostly garbage in my opinion.  Got a 90 on it.  wtf g0d?

So I've decided that I'm no longer going to study, forget buying the text book for the class, its just not worth it.  Except for math, I do need to study for that class.

So we, and by we I mean us both due to Kelly, were in full nesting force this weekend.  We hit up Target, La-Z-Boy, BJ's, Target again, Harris Teeter and then Target a 3rd time on Saturday.  Kell had mad coupons for various baby related things that I just said "Yes, Dear" to.  We also bought me a bookshelf to set up in my den.  I was finally able to kick her bookshelf out of the Den on account that she was encroaching on the one room in the house that was actually mine.

it was looking very disorganized though, even for me.  Mostly because I went from having basically two large rooms full of computers and various computer accoutemont to one rather smallish room.  The last remanents of Bachelor Jason are being slowly swept away!  I told her that our next house will have both a media room for the tv, and a computer/den room for me to use that is out of sight of casual house guest view.  So that I can set it up and leave it a complete wreck if I want!

So anyway, we got a ton done around the house, den cleaned up, living room cleaned up.  Got the new recliner set up and put in to the proper part of the room.  Kell washed all the baby clothes and put them away so that we are ready.  Like I said, massive nesting instinct kicked in this weekend.

Oh, I also installed a fan/ceiling light combo in the den.  That took me pretty much all afternoon on Friday, the wiring part kicked my butt because they give a ton of extra wiring and finding out how to stuff it in the dome requires the dexterity of teeny, tiny hands.  Something I dont really have.

So thats my story.

So, six months later, and theres finally a blog update.  Honestly, I just dont have the time or really the inclination to be constantly blogging.

The short, short version of the last six months.

Kellys' younger brother got married in LA.  It was a good time.
Kelly got pregnant, my boys can swim!
We bought a house in Charlotte.
We moved to Charlotte.
I got accepted to UNC-Charlotte.
We had Thanksgiving with my parents in VA and hers at their house in TX.
Ditto for Christmas, but her parents then mine.
I started classes on the 8th.

We are now up to date! WHeeeeeeee!

Kell is indeed preggers and due in late May.  No, we aren't finding out what the baby is, we both want to be surprised.  I'll be thrilled with either one though, as long as the baby is happy and healthy!

School is interesting, very different being at a 22k student body college compared to the little community college experience up until now!

Summer hath arrived.  So far, I'm not impressed.

Depending on how things pan out with a certain persons job, we may be moving.  Soon.  Or not.  Hopefully she will find out soon, but until then, we continue on as if we didnt know she could be re-assigned.

I still dislike web classes, so hard to sit down and focus on them.  Bleh.

So I've been horribly remiss about not posting.  Blearg.

I've been slammed with classwork and trying to figure out how to balance it.  I had to drop my accounting class because missing the week and a half of class during a condensed schedule put me way too far behind to catch up.  This has had the extra bonus effect of giving me more time with Kelly.

Before dropping the class, I had class 4 nights a week and would only get to see her for an hour or two before it was bed time. I didnt like this one bit and neither did she, but we did it because it helps me graduate in spring.  Now, having dropped the class, it gives me more time with her but doesnt put me beyond graduating in spring which is really nice.  Happy Jason!

Random thought:  Blue peanut M&M's are better than any other color M&M's.

Married life thus far has been great, we're both still deleriously happy, which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

We are likely buying a new dining room set in a couple of days.  A few weeks ago we went to Myrtle Beach for a work thing but stopped in High Point, NC to see what they had.  We found a set that we fell in love with, only cost around $6k, but then they slap on about $1k in shipping.  Rat bastards.  Thats where they get you!

Everyone told us to check out High Point, we can find great prices there, blah blah blah.  Which is all very true, there were some truly great prices.  But when they charge you 52-55 cents PER pound for shipping, that shit adds up.  The dining room set we want weighs something like 1700 pounds.  Wowza!

So instead, we went out to Roanoke to look at a set we saw in Haverty's to see if it still really wowed us.  Turns out, I decided that their stuff was crap.  All freaking particle wood which blows.  We stopped in a different store called Grand Home Furnishings and right smack dab in the middle of their entryway was the set we saw down at High Point.  And the bonus, they charge a whopping $47 for shipping.  Hells yea.  Sold!

So we'll be getting that today or tomorrow and hopefully getting it delivered early next week.  Wooooo...

So I'm still playing catch-up from being gone, but I will post a link to the proofs that the photographer has given us.  There are a TON of them, so peruse as your leisure!

The whirlwind is over, some semblance of order has returned to our lives!

I dont really have time to post much, as I am supposed to be reading 4 chapters in my Eco 120 for our first test tomorrow, isnt that exciting?  I'm so far behind in my classes, it truly sucks.  But I hope to be out from under the pile by the end of the week.  That's my goal anyway.

The wedding week was a ton of fun, a constant party.  The ceremony was beautiful, Kelly was gorgeous in her gown.  I can honestly say that I *rock* a kilt baby!

I will post a link to pictures when we have them all uploaded, for now, its back to the study of the different types of economic systems.  Be still my beating heart.

So the wedding weekend has begun.

Yes, I said weekend.  No, I'm not delusional., I realize it's only Wednesday.  But family has begun to arrive, events are happening.  Tonight, mom paid for a limo to take the girls out on out the town in DC for a little estrogen festival to start off the weekend.  They're going to some fancy schmancy place for dinner, and then just driving around town in the limo I believe.

While they're doing that, I'm stuck at the house doing homework and updating my LJ.  Exciting n'est pas?

Tomorrow, it's a run to Total Beverage to pick up 34 cases of wine.  Yes, 34 cases of wine, you read that correctly.  My FIL wasnt pleased with the wine selection that the Marriott was offering for the events, so he's supplying the stuff he wants.  Bully for him!

After the wine run, I'm heading over to my parents to spend the day with family and just being my mellow self.  At 5 is the rehearsal out at the resort, followed by dinner at 5:45 or so I think.  After dinner, we have drinks at the bar with all the friends and family that have begun to arrive.  There will be lots of drinking this weekend.  Lots.

Friday morning, for the guys, we have tee times starting at 9 for about an hour and a half out at Westfields Golf Course.  I think my tee time is 9:40, but I'm not entirely sure.  Hell, I havent even had time to hit the driving range this year, so Friday should be interesting.

For the ladies, at, umm, noon I think there is a bridal luncheon for Kelly out at the resort.  Much female ooohing and aaahing going on, guys, stay the hell away if you value your testosterone.

Friday evening at 6, the "Meet and Greet" out at the in-laws starts.  We're running shuttles from the resort to their house to help people who want to drink and have fun get back safely.  Not to mention we don't have parking for 130 people on the street!!

The party is being catered, so there will be no shortage of food.  The afore mentioned wine will also be served at the party, so bring thine drinking shoes for they will be full of alcohol!!

Saturday is fairly mellow during the day.  I'll mostly be nursing a hell of a hangover I imagine, but I'm keeping my schedule open for last minute crisis management.

The ceremony starts at 6, cocktail hour at 6:45-7:45, dinner starting at 8.  More alcohol, more food than you can shake a stick at.

Sunday, Memorial Day cookout at the in-laws house, catered because we're expecting another 130ish peeps, and Im sure as hell not cooking up that many frigging hotdogs!!

Monday, we leave for Orlando and a week at Disney and the Grand Floridian, woo woo!!

Seriously, I have every intent of updating this on a regular basis, but the last two weeks have been crazy.

First:  It was my summer break, I finished my first semester with a 3.65 GPA, which aint too shabby.  I'm immensely pleased with that gpa and I'm especially pleased with how well I did in my math class considering I think my cumulative math gpa in highschool was..uh...can it be negative?

I had a list of things I wanted to do around the house, plus I wanted to score some quality video game time since I was off from school and Kelly was working.  No such luck.  I got a whole new list of things to get done for the wedding, and that really cut in to my list of things around the house getting done.

In local and national news, Jerry Falwell died.  Now, I truly loathed this guy but I'm not going to gloat over a dead guy.  I'm sure someone, somewhere loved this person and are hurting.  It always hurts to lose someone you love, so to them I say, "My condolences."

Of course, that didnt stop me from dancing a jig when I heard the news.

And of course, since I live down in Falwell territory, the whole town is in mourning.  Today is the funeral and the entire downtown area is a god damned zoo.  I had errands to do down there today to get ready for the wedding, but there's no way I'm setting foot down there with the millions of masses that are tromping to the service.  Forget it.  So I'll do them tomorrow, I hope.

School has started and the week and a half I'm missing due to honeymoon/wedding stuff is going to kick me in the ass.  Big time.  But I really dont care, I know I'll still do well in the classes, so I'm not worried.
